Inbox Label Builder
Name the Gmail labels you actually want, mark the ones you'd check with only five minutes, and answer a few quick questions. You'll get a prompt that walks you through building the sorter in n8n one step at a time, a Claude Code skill that builds it for you, or both.
1What labels do you want?
Give each one a name and a short "what goes here" so the AI knows how to spot it. Tap Open first on the ones you'd check even on a busy day. Two to eight labels works best.
2When the AI isn't sure, what happens?
Some emails don't fit any label. Better to leave them alone than to file them in the wrong place.
3Want a Keep label too?
A label the sorter never touches. After you read something you want to hang onto, move it there so your other labels can get back to zero.
4How often should it sort?
n8n checks Gmail on a timer. New mail waits in your inbox until the next check.
5Which AI do you have an API key for?
This is a pay-as-you-go API account, separate from a chat subscription.
6How do you build in n8n?
If Claude Code can reach your n8n, the skill builds the workflow for you. If not, it walks you through the clicks.
7What do you want back?
The prompt works in any chat. The skill is a file Claude Code loads on its own.

What I learned the hard way. My sorter used to archive the wrong emails. Each "take it out of the inbox" step grabbed the email by its place in the batch, not by its own id, so the 5th promo archived the 5th email of the hour. Everything you get here matches each step to its own email id.
